History

1980
Astaş was founded by Vedat Aşcı in Germany as an international trading company.

1983
In order to contribute to the development of one of Turkey’s fastest-growing and most promising sectors, the textile and garment industry, Astaş was first established in Istanbul, later expanding its network to include locations in Izmir, Denizli, Bursa, Mersin, Samsun, Adana, Ankara, as well as the Turkic Republics of Central Asia. Astaş began to act as the distributor of the world’s leading textile machine suppliers, including Juki, Assyst, TopcutBullmer, and Veit in Turkey and Turkic Republics. It completed construction and started the operation of its business centres in Güneşli district of Istanbul as well as in Çatalca, Izmir, Ankara, Denizli and Mersin to offer services with its expanded team.

2005-2007
Acquiring the land of Kempinski Residences Astoria, Astaş completed this world-class residence, business center and shopping mall project in conjunction with the Kempinski Residences brand in 2007.

2006-2008
Astaş acquired land in Levent, Istanbul in 2006 and completed the construction of the Bellevue Residences Managed by Kempinski project in 2008, rendering it operational in the same year.

2010-2014
In 2007, Astaş acquired a project site in Maçka, Istanbul in order to develop Maçka Residences Interior Design by Armani / Casa Managed by Kempinski. The project’s construction started in April 2010 and was completed in December 2012.

In 2010, with the intention to develop the Mediterranean’s leading resort, Astaş acquired a project site in Cennet Koyu (Engl. Paradise Bay) in the Türkbükü area of the Bodrum Peninsula, Turkey’s most exclusive resort destination. The project managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group under the brand of Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum and The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum consists of a luxuriant resort hotel, villas, and residences. Construction started in September 2011 and the project opened on the 7th of July 2014.

In 2012, the Kuruçeşme Arena site was acquired and integrated into Astaş Holding’s vision to develop Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul, which is set to become one of the world’s most prestigious hotels under the management and brand of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group when it will be completed in 2019.
